Federal Ministry of Finance takes on signed SAP data

The Austrian law for Value Added Tax lays down that electronic invoices are only legally approved if they are provided with an advanced signature in terms of the signature policy.

With the XiCrypt eInvoice Guard we offer a solution which is applicable for billing, reminders, tenders, chargeable mailings and internal communications and which meets all legal requirements. Until recently, however, it was not clear if this system is interoperable with SAP data or ? to put it another way ? if SAP solutions are able to accept IDoc-data signed by the XiCrypt system and take them over directly into the system. IDoc is the SAP standard file format for electronic data exchange between different systems.

For this purpose we conducted a test with the Federal Ministry of Finance as partner. XiCrypt conveyed signed IDoc-data to the Ministry. The Ministry, in turn, could report that the data had been smoothly transferred to their own SAP system.
